Rick Ross is a die-hard Miami Heat fan (hence the team’s logo tattooed on his face,) there is no denying that. Before the 2014-2015 NBA season began, Ross felt so confident about the outlook of his favorite franchise that he decided to issue a $100,000 bet to anyone who was willing to take him up on it (the bet was that the Miami Heat would finish with a better record than the team LeBron returned to, the Cleveland Cavaliers.) Former NBA star and current day sports’ analyst, Jalen Rose, decided to accept Ross’ challenge while he was on his weekly Grantland podcast.
It seems that the platinum-selling rapper is backpedaling on the bet he was so anxious to make, because he is disappointed with the way the Heat have been playing thus far. They are struggling to create offense and have an under .500 record (16 wins and 20 losses.) Rose doesn’t mind if Ross decides to call off the bet, as long as he gets a succulent lobster dinner out of it.
Rose recently spoke to a reporter from TMZ Sports and when he was asked about what a possible payout (now that $100k is out of the question,) he responded by saying “I think he’s gonna take me to get lobster tempura at Prime One Twelve.” This particular plate retails for $25, is it me or is Ross getting off the hook big-time?
